I know I'm pushing it again, lots of stuff going on this month. Anyhow here's August 2011's Featured writer Nobody! I found her stuff at least three years ago and have loved every word since. Alice is by far my fave series by her and is absolutely worth the read. Three high school cheerleaders packing on numerous pounds? Yes! Its ongoing and well worth a read, each of the characters are well developed, and the settings feel real as does the WG. Very much worth it.

WG2- How did you come up with your username?

Nobody- I honestly don't remember. When I went to post my first story, I realized that I needed a name and I just pulled Mollycoddles out of the air. When I came to DA, that name was already taken, so I just started using Mcoddles.

WG2 How long have you been writing WG fiction? Writing altogether?

MC- I've been writing all my life, but I only started writing WG fiction fairly late in life XD. I'd been reading WG fiction for years, but too often I found it disappointing. It seemed like there weren't many people who were writing the specific kind of WG stories that I found most appealing. So finally I decided to write one myself! I posted my very first story late on the night of Sept 10, 2001 -- so when I woke up the next day, well, you might remember a little incident that day called 9/11! Not a very auspicious start to a writing career, but once the dust had settled, the reactions I got were fairly positive and that encouraged me to keep writing. And there haven't been any big disasters associated with my writing since, so that's good!

WG2- What kind of planning goes behind your writing? Could you explain your creative process?

MC- My process is pretty scattershot. From the beginning, I always wanted to write the kinds of stories that I wanted to read -- And because I found the reactions of girls to their weight gain to be just as enticing as the gain itself, I've always tried to develop strong, defined character in my stories. The real muse for this is Nobody (who is an excellent writer in his own right). and I do a lot of brainstorming with him about how the different characters think and act. He really helps to keep the stories on track and if I didn't have him to bounce ideas of off, my stories would have a lot less color. We toss around ideas for scenes and incidents that we think would be hot and then try to think of how the characters would react and how we could work those scenes into the narrative. Description is also really important, so I try to include a lot of that-- I can't stand stories that just turn into long lists of numbers as characters gain. One rule I made for myself long ago was not to waste any words in my stories; I want every sentence to contain something sexy, if possible. That's why everything I write is either description or character development...and I try to load it with the "key words" that I love to see. XD

WG2- Do you write outside WG? If you do what kinds of stuff? (You don't need to divulge if you don't want to.)

MC- I do write outside of WG. I've dabbled in non-WG fiction, as well as nonfiction writing.

WG2- Do you have any favorite WG writers or any outside of WG?

MC- I have too many favorite authors to list...Nobody, Nobody, Nobody, Swordfish, Matt L, The Admirer, BX1, Dr Fred, Expanderjack... I don't want to try listing them all in case I forget any! XD Oddly, most of the stories that inspire me the most were written by anonymous authors back in the early days of the Internet. Kelli's Big Belly and Val, which you can find elsewhere on the Internet, are still to me some of the sexiest WG stories in existence, and they are both huge influences on my style of writing.

WG2- What would you tell an aspiring writer or artist?

MC- Write what you want to read! When you start writing WG fiction, you will get a lot of people who want you to write to their specifications. But the best writing comes from when you're true to yourself.

WG2- A tough one. Do you have a favorite OC? If so, who?

MC- Of the characters I write, I think Jen Sarkovy from the Alice saga is my favorite. She's incredibly fun to write; she's such a ditz that she gets all the best lines. She started off as a pretty two-dimensional stereotype -- the bimbo lapdog to the bitchy cheerleader, the sort of cliche that you see in so many WG stories -- but over the years she seems to have developed into somewhat of a character. She's one of the characters that sometimes surprises me as I'm writing her. Also, I like her because she's the character with the large bottom, since every WG story has to have one, and I am a sucker for that sort of thing. XD

WG2- What are your thoughts on the WG and FA community on DA and elsewhere? Would you like to see anything changed?

MC- You know, my time in WG community has been surprisingly positive. It's got its share of bad apples, but, compared with some other communities I've been associated with over the years, people here seem surprisingly respectful of boundaries. I do get people sometimes asking me for nude photos or roleplays but by and large most understand that "no means no" and will drop it if you tell them to. I wish that everyone would be so respectful!

WG2- What's the future hold for writing and other projects?

MC- I hope to complete this Alice saga someday! I've been working on it off and on for almost 10 years now, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. XD Other than that, I'll probably write single shot stories when the mood strikes. One of the recent projects that was a lot of fun was a little collaboration with artist Nobody, where I wrote a story and he illustrated it. That was nifty so I might see if more people are up for that sort of thing in the future!

WG2- Any last thoughts?

MC- Ummm... Stay in school, eat your veggies, and burn all the books that ain't Shakespeare. XD

Thanks again Nobody! Well until next time everyone.

I'm not sure how I missed this, but it was a delight to get a peek into the mind of the mighty Mollycoddles!
