WG2 Bulletin Board

:pie:Welcome to the Weight Gain Writers Group!:pie:

The Weight Gain Writers Group (or WGWG or WG2 or WG2 or even WG-Squared) is a place where authors of Weight Gain and Fat fiction can post their works, talk about common interests & techniques and generally critique, commiserate, and communicate the woes and wonders of writing tales of WG. Our stories feature everything to do with BBWs & SSBBWs from fat to obese to beyond, as well as feeders & feedees and other standards of this kind of fiction.

The WG2 is also a place where the fans of such fiction can come to hang out with the creators. Where they can peruse the stories and make comments upon them as well as ask questions about them and the people behind them.

:bulletred: Roles, Rules, & A Guide for Posting Your Stories :bulletred:

The admin team here at WG2 has had many lengthy behind the scenes discussions about just what we want this group to focus on as well as what we do not want to focus on. One of the things we don’t want to focus on are stories about fat males. Sorry but we wanna keep it all about the ladies around here. That also means the women should mostly be women, no excessive anthropomorphism. Tails and animal ears are okay, more than two breasts or udders, not okay. Also we only want stories where the woman is fattened up by FAT. No inflation - air or water or otherwise. Furthermore NO food stuffing stories where the woman remains skinny - if the gut grows so must the rest of the body.

Stories should be over 200 words. Stories that we do accept can be of a magical or pseudo-scientific means for gaining or just plain good ol’ fashioned eating! They can be fan fics or original characters. The bottom line is as long as they’re about fat women and/or women getting fat then we’re a-okay with them being submitted here!

This brings me to our expectations of the contributors and members here.

Contributors: As the name implies, Contributors MUST contribute. However, this contribution is not limited only to their own stories but also includes some admin duties as well. In this way, Contributors are able to shape the group, having a say in overall group dynamics. They're allowed, and encouraged, to vote on new Member and Contributor requests, outgoing and incoming Affiliation requests as well as write group blog entries. Contributors are expected to follow the guidelines set up for the group and not start accepting, for instance, air inflation stories or something.

That said, anyone who applies for Contributor status will have their dA page perused by one or more of our intrepid admin team and if you do not have at least eight stories about fat women posted there or your application to become a Contributor will be denied. However, if we do accept you as a Contributor we’d like you to submit some or all of your stories - what and how many is up to you - within a week of being accepted or we reserve the right to change your group status to Member. When you do decide to submit your stories we will create your very own folder in the Gallery for you to submit them into. This way we can keep things relatively organized here. Please do NOT submit anything to the Favorites folder. We have special plans for that folder that you’ll read about in a minute. Anything that gets submitted there that doesn’t fit into those plans will be deleted. We appreciate your diligence and cooperation in this matter.

Members: There are essentially two types of Members here at #WG-Squared. The first type is someone who has a few stories they'd like to share here. We welcome you and will set up a folder for you in the Gallery. You're under no obligation to join in otherwise, although we'd like you to. If you do eventually post more stories and would like to be a more active participant you can always petition to become a Contributor.

The second type of Member is not necessarily a writer of WG fiction but definitely someone who enjoys it and wants to support those that create this type of prose. We encourage participation by posting opinions and comments, but there's no requirement to do so. Just reading and perhaps adding some of our authors' stories to your Faves is really all that's necessary.

But no matter what category of Member you fall into, feel free to submit pertinent deviations to be included into our Favorites folder. You may also vote on deviations that get submitted by others. However, please be aware that we do not want any pure prose in there, that should go to the Gallery folders. We will ONLY be accepting comics or drawings with accompanying prose. The key word is that they must have words and not simply pictures, after all, we're here to support WG writing. No offense to our fellow WG artists, but there are plenty of other places for WG art. Please see below for more information on our Favorites section. We also encourage members to send us notes and comments on how they feel we can improve things here. We’re always open to suggestions. Finally, any Member may petition to become a Contributor but they must first meet the Contributor requirements above in order to have their status changed.

The Favorites Section: Regarding the Favorites section, we would like it to be a place for things that are still story related but not purely prose. We’ve talked about this a lot in our admin meetings and we’ve decided to only accept comics or illustrations with accompanying prose for inclusion there. Most other groups on dA feature illustrations and we here at WG2 would like to do that too, but only in as much as the illustration is in service to a story. So, bearing all that in mind, please respect our wishes and do not submit simple pictures, only pics that have writing attached. Anything else will be summarily rejected. Again, as with our pure prose submissions, they must be about fat females and WG. Also, much like the gallery, we’ll be trying to keep things fairly organized there. We’ll either have the various submissions corralled by creator or, if it’s an ongoing series, we’ll put it in a folder with the series’ name on it. Please respect our wishes and do not violate these rules or you may find yourself banned from the group.

How to Submit Your Stories: We’ve had several people ask us how to submit their stories here. Thanks to the oxymorons at dA the submission process is simultaneously simple yet not very intuitive. However, fear not as I am going to give you step-by-step instructions on how to submit your works for inclusion here at WG2.
1. As previously stated, you MUST be a Contributor to submit your works here at the group. See above under the “Contributor” section to find out if you qualify for this status as defined by the group admins.

2. Go to the Gallery. All Contributors MUST submit their stories into the folder with their name on it in the Gallery. Prose submissions to the Favorites folder or into the Gallery’s Featured folder will be deleted in the case of the former and moved to the appropriate author’s folder in the latter.

3. Find your folder in the Gallery. A quick way to do this is to find your name in the “Gallery Folders” menu bar to the left in the Gallery. These are listed in hyperlinked text so just click on your name to open your personal WG2 folder. It should be set up for you to submit your works, if not send a note to the group and one of the administrators will change the setting so you can then submit at liberty without having to wait for approval - as long as you follow the criteria for acceptance stated previously. Submit as many of your stories as you want, there is currently no limit.

4. Once in your folder you will see a button towards the upper right area with the words “+ Submit to This Folder”. Click on it.

5. A pop-up menu will appear with two options: “Submit a New Deviation...” & “Contribute an Existing Deviation...”

6. Choose “Contribute an Existing Deviation...” this option will essentially link your already submitted deviation from your own dA page to your folder here in the group. This way any comments, favorites and pageviews you get will be credited to your original deviation. We here at WG2 only want to act as a medium for people to showcase their works, not take credit for them. We want to promote, not pilfer.

7. After you click the submission button a new window will open showing your Gallery of deviations. Simply choose a deviation by clicking on it - the deviation will become highlit. Then click “OK” - which is highlit in green - at the bottom of the window.

8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 above until all the deviations you wish to submit have been posted. Congratulations, you have now become an active Contributor to WG2!
 Our Muse Rosalie!

At the top of our Group's masthead you'll see a beautiful girl tirelessly typing away. She is our group muse, Rosalie. I humbly thank artiste extraordinaire =Satsurou for graciously creating and drawing Rosalie! Everyone please give Sats a big round of applause!

:bulletblue: Our Chatroom :bulletblue:

The DAWGhouse (Deviant Art Weight Gain house) is the official chatroom of WG2. It's a place primarily where authors of fat female and WG fiction and the people who read it can communicate, critique and commiserate in real time conversation. We talk about all sorts of things writing and fat related, as well as many other topics. Our artist friends and colleagues are more than welcome too! It's for men and women, whether you yourself are fat or thin, the only requirement is an appreciation of the fat female form!

So come join us by following this [link] to The DAWGhouse - ya know ya wanna!

:cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake:

Hopefully this document has been helpful. Feel free to send us a note if you have any questions that were not answered here or if you have any concerns or ideas on how we can improve the group to better serve the WG writing community. We want to foster communication and encourage creativity inspired by the fat women we all love and admire.

Take care all; we hope you enjoy your time here at the Weight Gain Writer’s Group!

Sorry for the lack of a September’s article, school and moving got in the way. :( So here’s October’s late too, because of my partying for Halloween. ;) October’s Writer of the month is ~FatGirlsAreLove. I’ll be honest about FGAL’s work, I haven’t read enough of it, so this description will do no justice at all. FGAL follows a wonderful trend in making her characters seem so real feeling, Irene Donahue is a good example as a character like this and a fantastic read too. If you want something that feels more like a good read then FGAL’s stuff is perfect for you, it just seems to pull you in, wanting to read more and more. On to the interview then…

WG2: How did you come up with your username?

~FatGirlsAreLove: Well, it's not exactly a creative one, so I guess it just kind of came to me and it stuck.

WG2: How long have you been writing WG fiction? As a hobby?

FGAL: I guess around 3 and a half years now, but it sure as hell feels like shorter. There was no time between my starting to write WG fiction and it going up on dA.

WG2:  What kind of planning goes behind your tales? Could you explain your creative process for us?

FGAL: Sometimes it starts with the character, other times with the concept, and other times with a moment that expands: for instance, with my character Tiffany, I visualized her and created stories around her. For The Whole Damn Bunch, I came into it with the story itself in mind, and Leslie, the protagonist, came later. The last instance would be something like Late for Dinner, where I had a single mental image that eventually demanded a character and a world to take place in and with.

WG2: Do you write outside the WG scene? If you do what kinds of stuff?

FGAL: I do have non-WG ideas every once in a blue moon, but I can never get them out the way I can with WG fiction. Besides, I enjoy this a lot more anyway.

WG2: Do you have any favorite writers WG and/or otherwise?

FGAL: I am madly, madly, madly in love with Neil Gaiman. So much. Oh, and a little Shakespeare never hurt anybody. On the WG side, *Saxxon's writing absolutely captivates me. The man absolutely cannot be touched and it humbles me whenever I read anything he puts out.

WG2: What would you tell an aspiring writer or artist?

FGAL: Never, ever, ever give up. If you're crap, then fine, you're crap for now. Just make yourself better and never stop trying to improve, and as long as you can still find the enjoyment in creating that makes all of that work worth it, you're golden.

WG2: Not an easy one, but do you have a favorite OC? If so who?

FGAL: Well, Taylor's managed to stick with me since almost the beginning, so I've got a soft spot. I also like the narrator of Irene Donahue because writing her was interesting and Tiffany because she's just downright fun to write stories about.

WG2: Any of your works that you're especially proud of?

FGAL: I cannot possibly whore out Irene Donahue any worse.

WG2: What are your thoughts on the WG/FA community as it stands on DA and elsewhere? What would you like to see change and/or stay the same?

FGAL: I do appreciate most of the WG community and wouldn't want it to change, but one thing that does bother me immensely is the view that "no skinny bitches" is any less offensive and ignorant than "no fat chicks." Thin-bashing is stupid and hypocritical, so... let's stop it, guys. And then you've got the force-feeders, but I like to think that we all recognize how ridiculous they are.

WG2: What's the future hold for writing and other projects?

FGAL: I still have a ton of projects in the future, including a particular series that's divided into so many different arcs and volumes that it's entirely possible that I'll die before I finish it. There's some sci-fi, some fantasy, a good old-fashioned heist tale, and the returns of some of my old characters with whom I'm not quite done yet. Not to mention I have collaborations with others for the future, an upcoming literary art trade, and I'm always open to more interactive things like that.

WG2: Any last thoughts?

FGAL: I'd just like to put it out there that I'm always open for help and that, with few exceptions, I respond to everything that you guys may send me. And, of course, it's been an honor being selected as the October Writer of the Month.

Thanks again to ~FatGirlsAreLove, until next month.

Yeah, I'm a Weight Gain Fetish Writer. But I'll read anything.

Remember, it takes 10 seconds to look at a picture and 10 minutes to read story.
So value every favorite/comment you receive, but don't be disheartened by a lack of them. Keep Writing!

I'm looking for a good long story or better - a series that I can dig into, with WG/belly expansion include but more importantly - a plot. So there is more then just a gaining story.

Getting an error message when I try to contribute:

- An error occurred during submission of Rose and Brandi. - user is not allowed to use this process
- An error occurred during submission of Pot-Belly Of Gold. - user is not allowed to use this process

I also notice that my folder is misspelled -- should be ernanim and shows as ernamin

:iconsteve-aka:
I've fixed the spelling on your folder name. Sorry about that. As for you not being able to submit, I'm not sure why. I checked the settings for your folder and it should be ready for you. My advice is to follow the directions for submitting in the WG Bulletin Board at the top left of this page, and scroll down to the subheading titled "How to Submit Your Stories". Ignore the part about having to be a Contributor to submit your work (it needs to be updated) but otherwise follow it precisely.

Again, sorry about any problems. Thanks for your patience.

I'm still having the same problem -- and I notice that my folder name is still misspelled. Maybe that's the issue?

It should be ernanim , and it was changed to ernanmin instead -- no need for the middle n!
